Spirit of Dunboyne 2011 Launch
Dunboyne Motor Club will launch their celebrations for the 53rd Anniversary of bike and car racing held there in the 50’s & 60’s on Friday August 5th. Club Chairman Seán Henry said “It's great to see such a huge turnout of cars, bikes and people here this evening" He went on to say “Dunboyne played a central part of the Motorsport calendar in the past and our event to celebrate 53 years since the first race will be held in the village on the 3rd & 4th of September this year”. Club Vice Chairman, Dan Daly commented “Plans for the event are well underway and the weekend will have something for the whole Community and Motorsport enthusiasts to enjoy”. Dan added “we will be issuing a press release within the next month that will give a full agenda for the festival of motorsport in September” The club has produced a DVD documentary of the '58-'67 era and the revival '06-'08 which is now available(price €15) please contact tcr@dunboynemotorclub.com for your copy.
