1950's Dunboyne was a
relatively quiet, rural place. Up to then, for most people, sporting
activity comprised of the GAA, athletics, horse racing and other
general rural pursuits. In 1958 a very different sport came to
Dunboyne. It was to provide two major sporting occasions in Dunboyne
every year until 1967.
The Dunboyne Motor
Club was set up in 2006 to organise events to remember the drivers
and riders who put Dunboyne village on the motorsport map.
